The Chestnut Man by Søren Sveistrup
4.0
I was pretty intimidated by the size of this book. Not that I haven’t read books this big or even longer but not many! Although it’s a little lengthy, it was a quick read and the short chapters helped! -love me some short chapters lol. Anyway, this book was told in multiple points of view, some POV only have one chapter from that particular character, this was only a slight issue because it took a moment to figure out who’s POV you were reading. But it was a fast paced story & I wanted to know what happened next. It’s described as being gory but I didn’t find it to be too much. I love a good who dunit book & I’ll be honest, I had no clue! It wasn’t until closer to the end when it was revealed & it was nice for it not to be predictable. I did hope for a little more with two characters — spoiler alert— I wanted the two cops to get together! But it wasn’t what the story was about either so it’s ok.
If you want a good police procedural who dunit book, then I definitely recommend this one!
