What, you ask, did I think of this book?

*clears throat*

AHHHHHH 😱 I NEED TO KNOW HOW THIS BOOK AND TSatWoN COME TOGETHER ASAP !!!

THESE NEXT THREE WEEKS NEED TO FLY BY 🙏🏼

“I brought a gift for you,” I said.
His brows lowered slightly. “A gift,” he repeated.
“A gift.”
He cocked his head, a slow curl brushing his lips. “Is the gift you?” Another chill up my spine, and this time, I shifted a little to ease it—which I hoped he didn’t see.
“No,” I said.
“Not this time,” he corrected, which I had no idea how to respond to.

Carissa Broadbent said Six Scorched Roses was going to be achingly sweet and it absolutely delivered 🙌🏼 I'm actually sad we didn't get a bigger novella but I'm excited (and hoping) that Lilith and Vale make a noticeable appearance in The Ashes and the Star-Cursed King 🤞🏻

• She's a socially awkward and brilliant heroine
• He's a grumpy vampire who gives off I hate everyone but youvibes
• & we get a Rishan 🪶 POV on the House of Night (wars and kings*)

*NOTE—while this book is listed as a standalone and can be read as one, I personally think the Crowns of Nyaxia series would add more of an oomph to the subjects mentioned throughout Six Scorched Roses 🙂

“You’ll have to be patient.”
“I’m not a very patient man.”
“I don’t lie, Lord Vale. They’re special. I promise.”
“You can just call me Vale,” he grumbled. “I suppose that once someone has seen my bare ass, we can drop the titles.”

I absolutely loved Lilith and Vale from start to finish 💖
... I found Lilith's reaction hilarious when she walked in on Vale with someone else; The fact that they wrote letters to each other and when Vale was too excited, he'd send them down with magic; and just them! 😍
This book will definitely be added to my reread pile.
