The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin

4.0

Wow, what an interesting & unexpected reading experience this was!

At first I wasn't sure where the story was going, it had me a bit confused, and about half-way through I wondered If I was even enjoying it. But the more intimate and smaller in scope it got, the more absorbed I got - by the end I was totally engrossed. And that ending hit me in a way I did not see coming.

The Left Hand of Darkness was also quite thought-provoking, raising & exploring interesting questions & fascinating ideas about gender, sexuality, freedom, and more. This was my first Le Guin book and certainly won't be my last!!
