House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas
5.0
Reread - Jan 2024 - 5 stars.. So many words.
Most of them are violence towards Sabine, Micah, Sandriel.. etc. You know the ones.
I didn't think it'd be possible to fall further in love (and annoyance) with all of the regular characters but it happened. I still maintain that this series (both books out currently) could be shorted by probably 400 pages per book and still hit the same. But since this is urban fantasy, it makes sense that we get more of that mundane scene setup that reflects (kind of) modern day so I think that's why it's so insanely long.
This one is also setup more similarly to Throne of Glass, with us getting a little insight into multiple POVs/following specific characters more closely at different times.
OVERALL, still my favorite SJM series to date.
First read - 5 stars, no words.
