Women Don't Owe You Pretty by Florence Given
2.0
I read this book because my therapist recommended it to me. There are a lot of positive messages in this book, which spans a range of topics, mostly focused on self-love. The content was more surface-level than I expected based on the title. When I learned the author was 21 years old, everything made a bit more sense. I would have absolutely eaten this book up in my late teens or early twenties (and there was a lot of information in this book I would’ve benefitted from!). However, at 27 years old, the book didn’t cover much new ground for me, as a chronically online feminist retired from dating due to being in a healthy long-term relationship. It isn’t a terrible book, but I expected something different from the premise. 2/5 ☆
