Greta and the Giants: Inspired by Greta Thunberg's Stand to Save the World by Zoë Tucker

2.0

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Greta and the Giants disappoints as a children's picture book due to its narrow focus on promoting Greta Thunberg as a role model. While I appreciate the intention of addressing climate change, the book's failure to present diverse perspectives leaves much to be desired. It primarily glorifies protesting, neglecting the importance of taking concrete action to effect change. Children's literature should encourage critical thinking and empower young minds to explore various solutions to global issues. I believe children deserve a more balanced and comprehensive approach to complex topics like climate change. I cannot recommend this book for fostering a holistic understanding of the subject.
