"it's not too sad getting older"

oh the metaphors on metaphors on metaphors i just finished the audiobook while brushing my teeth and i'm crying into the sink. people think kids don't understand all these complicated concepts like life and death and rebirth and love and the burden of getting older but they do sooo well they just don't have words to explain themselves. my best friend recommended me this when we were 14 and mentioned it to me at least five times and i had it on the little bookshelf in my brain all this time and i'm so pleased i finally got around to it. i feel like i just watched a movie with my younger self and now we're both in tears. no ine has all the answers, life is not easy but it's so so worth it to see it through all the sucky parts. i fear i also do not have the words either miss zevin does this way better. please read this, it's whimsical and warm and so full of love for life.
