Love Practically is the first book I have read by Nichole Van, but it will certainly not be the last. Oh my word, can Van write a stellar story! I was legitimately hooked from chapter one and tore through this story. Yes, I did stay up way past my bedtime multiple nights because I hated to put this book down. Van’s writing style is stellar. I love how she crafts sentences and images. And her ability to take reader’s through the gamut of emotions is perfection. One minute I was so hurt for Leah, then I was chuckling, then I was cheering, then I was sobbing, and then my heart was gushing. IT. WAS. AWESOME! As far as the characters go, I love Leah SO much. Her strength, her selflessness, her self-sacrificing nature, and her determination are my favorite aspects to her character. She is so good, but so realistic and relatable. Sometimes I read “good” heroines and think, “How can anyone be this perfect?” Leah is perfect but feels so humble and approachable. If she were a real person, I would want her to be my best friend. Her ability to revitalize Fox is the best part of this story. It was like watching a Phoenix rise. This poor man! I can’t say much about him because his storyline contains all the spoilers, but Fox is a fantastic hero. Though, he is only fantastic because Leah enters his life. Again, how amazing is Leah? She has the power, simply through her kind heart and loyalty and steadfastness, to turn a very sad, dejected, broken man into a heroic figure. I think that is SO cool! As far as their relationship goes, their love is complicated and I was there for every second. There’s a little bit of unrequited love, a huge dose of compassion, and a friendship that blossoms and evolves into some serious passion. But the road to love takes some time, and when it finally happens, it is SO heartwarming and perfect.

Love Practically is one of the best books I’ve ever read. I loved every single second! If you have not yet read this book, and you love superb Historical Romances, then I highly recommend getting a copy of this story ASAP. You will not be disappointed you did.

I purchased a copy of this novel in eBook form from Amazon.com on November 3, 2022 in order to review. In no way has this influenced my review. The opinions expressed in this review are my own.
