the poetry felt quite forced at times - it didn't really make sense to me, although i did understand it more at the end of the book. still, kya reciting the poetry all the time just felt out of place to me. i'm personally not a fan of the writing style either: it feels chaotic at times, but not intentionally chaotic. some of the description was really nice though, and quite thought-provoking.
