i picked this out hoping this gave me john wick vibes as the cover really reminded me of the movies, and im a huge fan so i had high hopes. to say the least i was very confused. i didnt really like any of the characters but i dont think the point of them was their likeability. there was a LOT of unneccesary violence that was often uncomfortable to read about which was suprising as im a big fan of anything action related. the main deal breaker for me was the attempted rape scenes, the constant reminder that our main character is a woman(e.gshes pathetic compared to everyone else), and not one of the men is this were even remotley normal or nice. i understand its the point of the era this was wrote about but it was still a hard read and not very enjoyable.
