Empire of Care: Nursing and Migration in Filipino American History by Catherine Ceniza Choy
informative
fast-paced

an interesting read on the origins of nursing in the Philippines and the nursing exchange program to the U.S. I found the beginning of the book on the U.S. funded nursing programs as a form of colonialism more interesting than the latter parts of the book that felt at times disjointed, still a good read thought.
Moderate: Racism, Xenophobia, and Colonisation
Minor: Medical trauma and Murder
