"Perhaps I will go with you to the end of the world. After all, you've made me curious"

Can I pleeeease live in Red London? And go on adventures with Kell and Lila?
This was a fascinating and intense first book in the trilogy, setting up the world and its rules. I love that from time to time we got to see what was happening outside of the main character's points of view - it gave you an insight into how high the stakes actually are.

SPOILERS
One of my favorite moments in the book is:
"How did you know?" she asked, looking down at the rubble of the queen. "How did you know she wasn't me?"
Kell managed an exhausted smile. "Because she said please"

It just sums up the wild, beautiful and reckless Lila who I fell in love with. She and Kell are great main characters who have amazing chemistry & funny banter. I gotta admit - I'm a sucker for their "good luck" kisses, it was done so well!

4.5/5, really excited to continue this story.
