While I enjoy this book, I felt like I couldn't really connect to Kyle's character because there was so little we know about his character for like 90% of the book. We are given tidbits of information about him, his past, and his motivation towards the end. But I love the appearance of other characters from RK's other books such as Kirill and Sasha from the Monster Trilogy. I'm intrigued by Adrian and Lia's story though.
