So this book is fine, except it's the second book in the series that has Ranulf as one of the people keeping our leads apart, and it makes him pretty annoying. I don't remember him being this insufferable when he decided to chock clan alliances and marry as he liked. So yeah. I hope the next book doesn't have Ran as the villain again, it drags away from the rest of the book.
