I absolutely devoured this book in one day! Why? Because 1. I can and 2. This book took you on a journey and you were going through the timeline of the events with these characters and I just needed to know what was happening next.
We have Millie who wants to get revenge on her father so she seeks out her fathers best friend to seduce. Gavin doesn't know who Millie is when he strikes up a conversation with her at a bar. Gavin is so drawn to Millie and when one thing leads to another Gavin is closing the whole bar down to have a moment with Millie. What Gavin doesn't realize is the woman he had the most amazing night with he will be seeing on his plane to his best friends wedding who just so happens to be his best friends daughter.
Gavin THE Hockey Daddy! I loved this man so much. The way he communicated, his dirty mouth just everything about Gavin was amazing and pulling you into his orbit. The way he doesn't want to let Millie go even after he finds out she is and how Millie feels the same way about Gavin.
This book was so different with it's now/then timeline. It honestly feels like you are on the relationship journey with Gavin and Millie and I LOVED that! The whole book you are rooting for these two and there are time your heart will break for them but just remember that Millie is a fighter and determined when she wants something.
The way Gavin became a daddy was so different than other books and I absolutely loved that storyline! (No this is not accidental pregnancy but I don't want to spoil it). Millie when she returns home offers to help Gavin out with his daughter Vivi. Your heart will be put back together with these 3 becoming a family. Millie and Gavin will do everything to protect Vivi and raise her in a loving home no matter how she ended up with them.
I loved the whole Langfield family! They were ducking awesome and you really felt like one of them while reading this story. This is one family that would do anything to help those they love.
I can not wait for the next book in this series because I just keep falling more in love with each Langfield man!
