Under an Endless Moon by A.L. Jackson
5.0
Otto and Raven
Wow! Where to start. This one has some length to it so I feel like the review will be a novel itself. Ha
Let’s get the blah stuff out the way first.. this is book 2 of a series. Book 1, From Here to Eternity, is River’s book. This series is about five friends who basically grew up together, and have been through thick and thin, with and for each other. I guess you don’t absolutely have to read the first book but I would recommend it. They are interconnected and you will get a lot of back story or history about them. Book 2 is Otto, one the 5 best friends, and Raven (who is River’s sister..yep from book 1). Ooohhh..it’s good already right?
Ok, the next part should be said, that these are NOT, light and breezy reads. Please heed all warnings. These can get intense, and these guys are fighting pure evil..not angels themselves. But deep down, they have a fierce need to love and protect their family and help the innocent.
None of these characters have had an easy life. They all face their own trauma in some way. Otto and Raven’s pov will be present day and flashback to different times in their life. Trying not to post spoilers is so difficult. River and Raven joined up with the other 4 guys when River was just a young teen, Raven younger. She had nightmares almost nightly and Otto would be the one to comfort her. Over the years Raven developed a huge crush on him. Now in her 20’s that crush never went away, and she is totally in love with him. They have always had a good relationship and she thought there might be something to it, but always afraid to do anything about it. She’s tired of wondering and finally takes a stand.
Otto has done some very bad things in his life. He's accepted it but doesn’t want to drag Raven into his dark life. He has loved her for years but doesn’t think he is good enough for her nor thinks he can give her what she wants and needs. But when she stands firm, he can’t take it anymore.
There is so much more going on in this story but you have to read it. It can go from fun and entertaining to steamy to intense in a matter of minutes. Once you get started you won’t want to put it down. So good and captivating. Otto and Raven will learn what family really is about..to protect you, to support you, to love you..no matter what. You can be more than your past, you can move on, be free.
