The Girl in Room Fourteen by Carol Drinkwater
5.0
What a well written and vividly described story. I love short stories like this that you can read in one sitting because you can truly get involved in the moment and forget about the world you live in.
Cecile has experienced something that we can all relate to in our own little ways and I found myself thinking how I'd feel if I was in that position. It caused a huge emotional reaction for me. The picture that is painted lends itself so easily to being able to really empathise with Cecile.
Carol Drinkwater is a fantastic writer and this has definitely made me consider reading more of her work in the future.
