Just My Type by Falon Ballard

This was a struggle to get through. There were many points where I considered just stopping. Why I kept on with it I couldn't tell ya.

This story would fall under the "Miscommunication" trope aka my least favorite of all romance tropes. Like we are all adults, it's not cute. This kinda stuff can fly in YA romances because...well...they're teenagers. They're still trying to figure themselves out and learning how to go through it all. To me, adults doing this nonsense is just sad and annoying af.
Spoiler
The mfc annoyed the absolute crap outta me. "I'm original, I like nerdy shit. I like Marvel and Star Wars and reference them in everyday life." Clingy. No one says, "Thank Loki". It's never gonna happen. STFU.
And what really got me was the part with the one night stand. You made Seth's list of things to accomplish. You wrote that he had to be abstain from sex during this experiment. But you thought that 'oh yea, I'm going to use him for my one night stand." Like, did we all forget that part? You wrote it, you made a point about it but still thought it was a sound idea. da fuck.

And the mmc was a piece of work to. You broke up with her. You don't get to be mad when she dates other people. That is what breaking up means you buffoon. You didn't say, we need time apart or time to grow. You broke up with her. You made the decision that that was best for Lana without asking her. Fuck you very much.

The editor can suck an egg too. I have never worked in the writing business but I don't think your boss having a say in your personal life is part of the job. Where is the HR department? Where are the boundaries? Sure Lana has mother issues but how doesn't? Let's be honest. I don't care how messed up your personal life is, I think that there would have to be a point where enough was enough.

Life is too short to be childish, get it together.
