A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara
5.0
I had this at four stars but changed it once I reflected more on the content because...wow.
This is a book that requires intentional, dedicated, hunkered-down reading. It's incredibly slow at times--especially in the first half of the book, in which JB's and Malcolm's perspectives seem a bit superfluous--but the story is simultaneously devastating while highlighting the value of a solid set of friends and family members to create meaning in a little life.
