The Nothing Man by Catherine Ryan Howard

dark tense

4.0

The Nothing Man is a book in a book and the premise sounded very promising. Eve was the girl who survived the Nothing Man 20 years ago. Now she wrote a book trying to find the man who murdered her family. Of course the Nothing Man himself is reading the book and the more pages he reads, he realises how close Eve gets to the truth.

I was hooked from the beginning and I loved the switches between the book chapters and the Nothing Man's POV while reading the book. It kept me on the edge of my seat and it was a real page turner for me. I found some chapters to be a bit slow for my liking and I didn't much care for Eve.

It still was a very enjoyable thriller and if you enjoy true crime you should give this one a go!
