So captivating!! Even though it was a long book, I was just hungry to finish it and it had a fast pace so it didn’t feel that long. I really enjoyed the character pov chapters and thought all of them were very interesting and intersected in clever ways. I absolutely loved the characters, especially hadassah and how you can just feel her character through the pages. I love how she is written in a human sense who isn’t a perfect Christian but struggles with her fear of sharing the good news although she still shows it through her actions. She is such as inspirational character and reading the book made me consider myself and how I am the hands and feet along God as well. I loved her gentleness, perseverance and humility in serving. What really stood out to me was how she was so consistent and humble in her serving even though Julia was so cruel and negated all of her beliefs. It was also very eye opening to the Roman way of life during early Christianity and really helped me to understand the power and unworldliness of Christian beliefs. The Roman’s selfishness and captivating with self fulfilment also made me consider in what ways I am living for what I want without thoughts of others
