This was an enjoyable and very interesting book. It has alternating narrators, Anastasia Romanov at the time of her family's arrest, and Anna Anderson, a woman who says she is Anastasia. However, while Anastasia's plotline moves forwards in normal linear time, Anna's moves backwards, from her as an old woman to around the same time as the tsarevna's.

I will say, I did find Anna irritating at times and thought she could be rather full of herself.
