‘Sensor’ is an Adult sci-fi horror manga about psychic powers, religion vs cults, and time travel. When the survicor of a volcanic eruption gains psychic powers and is abducted by a cult in pursuit of knowledge, will the reporter pursuing her be able to save her?
Located in Japan, the story centres around Mount Sengoku. This was pretty slow-paced but overall a decent read. I quite liked the plot althoigh at some points i was a bit bored and confused. Thid isn’t one of my favourate Ito pieces and probably not one I would read again but still an interesting story.
I think this would be enjoyable for a lot of people who are into sci-fi and cult plots but personally I would’ve preferred more horror elements. I would say if hair freaks you out, definitely avoid this one and i’d also pre-warn you of some pretty graphic suicide scenes and some scenes with a lot of bugs.
