Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Yeah we are all thinking it. For the modern western audience, I can completely understand that this was unexpected. For anyone who reads a variety of self published doujin, especially from various stores in Akiba, a lot of the penned subjects are very dubious. So depending on what type of content you consume, and what you are expecting ( which I was not expecting when picking this up ) that was a surprise. But you do have to sit back and think about how toxic these two are in the entire story, and do not communicate at all.

It’s not romantic in a sense but moreso a dysfunctional companionship.
