Jewel E. Ann has done it again! She's come up with another original story, and executed it with perfection in Before Us. This book tells a beautiful and heartwarming story about sacrifice and wanting the best for your loved ones. From the start, I fell in love with Zach, the beautiful hero of the story. Suzanne, the inspirational character, had such an amazing outlook on life, and Emersyn, the dreamer, was down on her luck but never gave up on her aspirations. The way these three characters bonded was very unique and beautiful.

I was skeptical about how the author would handle the situation described in the synopsis, but I should have trusted Jewel E. Ann to create the most heartwarming story possible. The friendship that Emersyn developed with Suzanne was bittersweet and had me feeling emotional at times. Zach was a straight-forward guy, but I enjoyed seeing him grow throughout the book. The same goes for Emersyn. She did the most growing, and I loved going on this journey with her.

Overall, Before Us is a must-read for romance lovers. Jewel E. Ann's writing style and ability to craft unforgettable characters will keep you hooked from start to finish.
