I loved how there were three fairytale stories that you follow through Cardan’s childhood, his teenhood, and his life as the king. They are basically slightly different variations of the same story as he grows up and how stories change with you as you grow. I also liked the glimpses into the past where we just hear about what happened but don’t actually see it. I’m also in love with the illustrations in this book I think Rovina Cai did a FANTASTIC job. 5/5 stars!
