Galaxy Stern is not straight and it's actively making the series worse to force this romance with Darlington when the real chemistry is with Dawes. It's not even about the romance, it's about how stilted the overall book feels to add the romance. She barely knows this dude before he disappears and we as an audience only really know him secondhand, yet it pulls so so much focus from the actual plot and the characters that are present
