I had high expectations for this book, and while I did like it, the ending felt unfinished to me. I loved the exploration of colorism, and intergenerational relationships. Jude and Reese’s relationship was refreshing and interesting. The latter half of the book was a little more jarring and I would have preferred to see more of Stella and Desiree’s relationship (or lack thereof), but I did love the duality and juxtaposition of their twin relationship.
