This book was so fun! It got right into the mystery right away and although I wasn't too keen on Alice at the start she ended up growing on me a lot during the second half of this book. The last 220 pages were so good I read them in one sitting (which I rarely do anymore). Overall this was a classic and fun mystery that had me feeling all kinds of emotions. One of the best things about it was how well the authors balanced out the darker parts of the book without taking away from the seriousness of them. The ending was absolutely jam packed and although I predicted the main part of the ending it was still fun waiting for the characters to finally figure it out.

I always loved Kathleen Glasgow's writing and I was very interested to see how it would transfer over to a mystery and she did such a good job!! The general topics she tends to write about really came through in the end and added an extra element to the story that other mysteries I've read don't tend to have.
