This memoir may not have been the longest, but it is quite possibly, among some of the most important novels to ever be written. There is a lot to be learned from this book about humanity and history among many other things, and it is worth it to really get into the text. It might be difficult to read for some people because the book goes through really terrible and painful events, and though I sometimes sat there, lost for words, it was a very worthwhile read. I am quite grateful that I read this, and this is something that everyone should read at least once in their lives.
