I almost dnf'ed this book at its first 100 pages. But ya'll I am glad I didn't because it becomes so interesting after 130 pages or so. I wasn't able to stop reading. The world is dark and gory and perfect for fall. Jay Kristoff's writing is weird but his plot twists always delivers.

You'll be a rumor. A whisper. The thought that wakes the bastards of this world sweating in nevernight.The last thing you'll ever be girl, is someone's hero.

Also I love Mia Corvere and Mr.Kindly so much <3
