Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross

5.0

I didn’t know what to think of this book at first… I was confused on the war part and how everything came together, but then … this book just sucks you in! I love the element of this wholesome romance that flourished between Iris and Roman, who doesn’t want a man that will leave his job, break off an arranged engagement, and go to the front lines of battle to be with you!

What a life though , you lose your brother to war, your mother dies, you don’t get the promotion you want so you leave to write for the war because you have nothing left. In the midst of all the death and destruction you find friends and you get married! It all seemed like it was going to be a happily ever after, but then morning came and it all changed.

I never expected the twist at the end with her brother, that caught me by surprise and it made me hate her brother from stealing her away from Roman. Then finding out where Roman actually is is horrible. This book gave me all the emotions, I laughed, I cried, I was angry, I was happy, I was anxious. You know it’s a good book when it makes you feel so much!

I can’t wait till the next book is released to find out what happens!
