“Where you go, I will go. Where you stay, I will stay.”

➸ 5/5 stars!
This book has been on my tbr for years now. I bought it and read a couple of pages and put it down and never looked back, that was until yesterday. AND I JUST WANNA SAY THAT I AM GLAD I PICKED IT UP! Totally the easiest 5 stars I could ever give a book. This was so fast paced with an amazing storyline – I mean why would you not wanna read about a witch who marries a witch hunter!? I love uncovering the family tree of the main characters because I would’ve never guessed who some of their parents were.

“Because you asked. Because you’re my wife, and if anyone deserves to know the worst parts of me, it’s you.”

I loved Lou and Reid’s relationship, at first I didn’t know how they were truly gonna work seeing as how they got married and under those circumstances. But they both made it look in the best possible way. And I would like to admit that everytime Reid called Lou his wife I started to blush.

“There are some things that can't be changed with words. Some things have to be seen. They have to be felt.”

Plus all the side characters were loveable especially Coco and Ansel (Ansel if my child and I will hurt anyone who tries to hurt him). Coco’s magic is so different from Lou’s so I am very excited to learn more about her magic plus who her aunt truly is because that cliffhanger wasn’t enough for me and I need the second book immediately!

Other quotes I enjoyed:
“He gave me a life, a purpose.” He hesitated, eyes meeting mine with a sincerity that made my heart stutter. “He gave me you.”

“You do realize how ironic this is, right? The tallest man in Cesarine is afraid of heights!” “I’m glad you’re enjoying it.”

“—but you’re also compassionate and free-spirited and brave.” He tucked my hair behind my ear. “I’ve never met anyone like you, Lou.”

“We could write our own ending, witch and witch hunter be damned. We could be happy.”

“There you are, it seemed to say. I didn’t think you’d come. I promised to love and protect you. And I promised to love and obey you. We’re both such pretty liars . . .”
