i think the most accurate description of this book would be to say that the contents of it are just as ugly as the cover (genuinely whoever designed it needs to be fired bc truly wtf is that). this book was literally so bad wtf did i just read. i only wanted to read this in the first place because i saw quotes about a couple from it and they seemed cute, but no. halfway through the book i was so bored and couldn't care less if i saw spoilers or not so i searched up when the couple gets together, and i found out they only just KISS in the LAST BOOK in the trilogy like girl please as if i'm gonna wait around for 2 more books of an annoying dude running around playing some yassified version of lacrosse called exy while simultaneously running away from his crime lord father. like if a book is really good and you love a certain ship, obviously you'll keep reading, but this book couldn't even hold my interest, there's no way i'm reading the next 2. it's just too boring. the plot is redundant, the writing style is so choppy and i couldn't get into it, the characters are mostly insufferable, and they make me super uncomfortable like just the way they behave and things they say are so weird. i would not recommend this book to anyone. but hey at least i'm 1 book closer to my reading goal for this year lmao
