Wonderland: An Anthology by Marie O'Regan, Paul Kane

4.0

3,5/5 Alice In Wonderland is one of my favorite books so I had to get my hand on this one. It had a great concept, but as with all anthologies this book was a mixed bag of stories I enjoyed and stories I didn't care for. I actually thought this would contain more horror elements so I was a bit disappointed when I saw it didn't.

Alice in armor: 5/5, love the tone and take on the original story

Wonders never cease: 4/5 amazing creepy elements

there were no birds to fly: 2/5

the white queen's pawn: 5/5 my favorite one, what a unique take!! and I loved that this was around the real Alice <3

dream girl: 2/5

good dog, alice!: 4/5 that ending's great, loved the Wonderland elements and setting

the hunting of the jabberwock: 2,5/5 not enough alice in this

about time: 2,5/5

smoke'em if you got'em: 2/5, didn't care for that universe

vanished summer glory: 4/5: perfect setting in this one

black kitty: 3,5/5

the night parade: 2

what makes a monster: 2

the white queen's dictum: 2,5/5 don't know what's this story is doing in this anthology

temp work: DNF didn't care for that take on the story, and the writing style didn't work for me

eat me, drink me: 2,5/5

how i comes to be the treacle queen: 2/5

six impossible things: 4/5 i enjoyed this but it made me think a little too much about Peter and Alice by John Logan

revolution in wonder: 4/5, a good conclusion to the anthology

+ this cover is amazing!!
