Cinnamon and Gunpowder by Eli Brown

If you're a chef, a baker, a person who enjoys cooking this book is for you. If you're a sailor, a pirate, a lover of the ocean and sails this book is for you. It was hilarious and sad. Adventurous and yummy. I couldn't put it down. It's a very interesting historical fiction take on the opium and tea trade. On how pirates and privateers ruled the oceans. And how the British ruled them all. I loved the female pirate captain and the stubborn chef who cooks for her. The chef's take on how the story plays out is amazing and he has some wonderful one liners. A wonderful read, a great tale, with a touch of romance, knitting, and sign language.
