Let’s talk Jack O’ Dander

First I want to thank Mother Horror on Instagram for putting this one on my radar!

This is a quick read sitting at 34 pages. It follows Nat who suffers from survivors guilt. When she was younger, her sister was kidnapped while she was in the same room asleep. Nat believes she was taken by an urban legend known as Jack O’ Dander.

This urban legend is a video. If you see a man in the video, he can see you back. Creepy right??? After Isobel (Nat’s sister) and Ellen (Nat’s Cousin) show her this video, Nat sees Jack O‘ Dander almost everywhere.

This book tackles a lot within its small size. You have a toxic family and child favoritism that spans generations. You also have parents comparing the two children, always lifting one up and tearing the other down. This sad relationship plays a lot into the twist near the end of the book.

I definitely think you should give this one a go! I read it twice just to make sure I had all the pieces put together.
