Decided that my New Year’s Tradition will continue to be reading one of Mona Awad’s books to start things off.

If “Bunny” were a red wine I would describe it as a blend of Mean Girls, The Craft, and Frankenstein with hints of Stephen King and John Hughes Movies. This piece of dark academia was unsettlingly unpredictable in the absolute best of ways.

The core story wasn’t quite as strong as Awad’s later work “All’s Well” but it showcased an impressive understanding of how genres and devices can overlap to produce something unlike anything that came before it.
