I love how this book followed the story of four women. It was great reading about how they were all so different. This is definitely a character study of a book, and I came to appreciate that after a while. I appreciated how all the storylines came together in the end. It was great. This book started with a massive storm, and I feel that was a metaphor for what was to come as the characters were each fighting a battle and this book focused on that. I tend to find that I get easily confused with lots of characters. Sometimes I have to pull out a notepad to keep things straight. But this book did such a great job keeping everyone in their own lane that I didn’t need my normal tools, it was a breath of fresh air.

Normally I prefer faster moving plots, but with this one I really enjoyed getting to know all the different characters and their nuances. It was really great to get to know everyone and what they were about.

Thank you to @thewildrosepress and the author for sending me a copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.
