Before reading this book, I recommend reading The Other Bolyen Girl first, because the book makes more sense if you are familiar with the background of Lady Jane Boleyn. In this book, unlike many written by Gregory, the story is told in first person by three characters, Lady Jane, Anne of Cleves, and Katherine Howard. Overall, the plot was interesting and the characters well defined as in many of Gregory's books.
