“i knew that if i didn’t say something, i’d regret it. because i knew that i’d rather wait for ada hart than be with anyone else.”

i think this book healed a part of me that i didn’t know was still broken.

ada is a character that i relate so heavily to, especially when it comes to her relationship. i know how hard it can be to be with someone who controls you and dictates every little thing in your life, so seeing her struggle with that but also heal from it meant a lot to me.

wes, sweet wes, loved ada so much that i had tears in my eyes over some of the things he said to her. he genuinely cared for her and stood by her side through everything, reassuring her that her life and future were her own, and that he would be there every step of the way.

something i have appreciated through the two books i’ve read so far is that the whole ryder family is a vital part of the story, especially amos. i love how everyone came together (in both books) to just be with each other and celebrate little wins that they shared. and now i can’t wait to read teddy and gus’s book because i just know it’s going to be amazing.
