2.5 - this was almost a three star read, but after some thought, it feels like this would’ve been very forgettable to me if it weren’t for this series being as popular as it is.

I’m happy to have finally checked this off my tbr, as it’s been pretty high up on my list ever since it went viral on tiktok, but I can’t really see myself continuing on with this world.

It honestly wasn’t bad and there were some things I enjoyed (I thought the main character’s voice was pretty fun and humorous and the pacing of the book was genuinely good) I can see why people like this, but ultimately it’s just not the type of story for me.

Also, I wasn’t very impressed with the smut scenes. They all felt very generic to me for an alien romance. I expect creativity when there is a sci-fi element to my smut.

And as an ending note, I really didn’t appreciate how many times poop was brought up in the story
