Where It Began by Ann Redisch Stampler

5.0

There are no half-stars... I'd have given this a 4.5 if I could. There were times in the first half that I really would like to have shaken Gabby by the shoulders if only to jog the story along a bit faster. Her story is a disaster in more ways than one--it's almost like being at the scene of an accident as it's happening. You know what's going to happen, you hope it doesn't, and still you can't look away! Total train wreck, that's our girl.

Full review coming up. Don't read this if you don't like realistic fiction. There's no para- to her sub-normal.

And full-disclosure: I'm Ann's web designer. Hi. I wouldn't have designed this if I didn't think I was going to enjoy reading the book: http://www.annstampler.com
