Puerto Rico Strong by Hazel Newlevant

5.0

- I am a contributor to this anthology take my opinions with that in mind -

This Anthology gathers together a wide diverse group of mostly Puerto Rican (Boricua) contributors sharing their stories in the wake of current events plaguing the island. This is an extremely well edited anthology the stories really managed to thematically flow into each other and mixed education with fiction and personal stories flowing to make a great package. The diversity of talent and stories made for a super interesting read and even as a person from PR I found myself learning lots of new details walking out while also coming out with some fun new tales.

For people going in blind this is a mostly non fiction Anthology with more history and personal stories then fictional ones but these stories all feel like they really matter. The creators here all brought their a game and I really think this was a stand out work. All of the money from sales currently goes to charity so I very highly recommend this story to help Puerto Rico out but you'll also walk out with some really great stories under your belt. I didn't utterly love every story but that is like any anthology in particular one like this where you are getting so many different perspectives. What I can say is everything felt well worth reading and you should give it a shoot.
