Faith and Vaughn. Red and Jaguar.
My liking of the book changes each time I read it. It’s either 10/10 or mid. The book is definitely a story-progresser and their love romance didn’t make me kick my feet. But the foretelling in this book for the series (and a cute lil Easter egg for guild Hunter if you pay close attention) is SOO important. There’s more Judd, and slightly more importantly, there’s Krycheck - who we can all agree we’d die for. There’s also more of Hawke and his funny flirting. The book really picks up at the end, and honestly the last 30 or so pages are the most important, and the best. Faith’s character develops over the course of this book but doesn’t fully pick up for another few books.

Overall, a good quick read that you can put on 1.7 speed and still catch everything -> though it is also so important to listen out to the tiny foreshadowing details e.g. Sahara and being caged; Anthony and the rebellion; the netmind and darkmind; KALEB; Hawke not being able to mate
