This is the first time I've reread this book as an adult, and I had always thought this book was important to read. That opinion hasn't changed, but now I have a newfound appreciation for Charlie's story. Reading this as a teen was hard because I didn't fully understand the gravity of Charlie's situation. Now, I can understand and appreciate more the story that Stephen Chbosky was portraying. Still a wonderful book for teens and adults alike.
