Trevor Noah possesses an incredible skill for storytelling. This collection includes plenty of harrowing memories illustrating the life of a mixed race boy during and after apartheid, yet the style of writing maintains a balance with comedy without undermining the important lessons. The combination of light-hearted humor and experiences as well as history of racism could go horribly wrong, but in Noah’s hands it works quite flawlessly. Such an eye opening book that taught me a lot.
