Ertugrul Ghazi: A Very Short Biography by Flamur Vehapi, Stef Keris
5.0
A brief but interesting book, the actual history of the recently popularised man is very little in comparison to some of his contemporaries and predecessors but it is doubtful that without his and other beyliks' efforts, the Seljuk Sultanate of Rum would have had as much strength under Sultan Alauddin Kayqubad I, or that the founding of a new empire under the leadership of his son 'Uthman would have been possible.
The footnotes were interesting as sources for further reads on the Seljuks and the early Ottomans.
