Walker truly has a way of pulling at your emotions through her books and June and Rhy’s story will 100% pull at the emotions. The beginning of the book had me tearing up, feeling frustrated and wanting to shake some sense into our MMC. But I will say how strong our FMC and she basically did everything I wanted to do Rhys and I loved her so much for that!

Rhys and June are the definition of meant to be together and right person wrong time. Rhys wanted June to go off and follow her dream and so he stayed behind. But June comes back into town and into his and daughters lives. Rhys and June have an invisible string that pulls them in together no matter how much they fight it.

I adored June’s relationship with Rhy’s daughters. There were a few times my heart broke for her and her feelings/emotions but in the end true love wins and Rhys and June are able to work through the obstacles.

I can’t wait for the next book in this small town and to be back in the world of Bourbon, Angst and Love.
