Wow.......I can't say I enjoyed this book in the typical sense per my usual reading. I wasn't expecting to like this one so much....I'm blown away about how much I was intoxicated by all of the words in this book. You think maybe the main character is unrelatable at first but I found myself thinking of how much I could relate....especially in Vanessa's teen years. This book is HEAVY. It felt so real to me. So many lines blurred..... The whole thing was so well done. A lot of it felt poetic as well -which I LOVED. So much can be said. I can't write it all down. If you think you can read this- please do! And then have a conversation about it with someone.
